Journalism in Pakistan

 We will certainly be sorry to know that the attitude towards journalism and journalist in Pakistan is not the same.

Probably a factor as to why they’re doing so poorly. Broadcasting laws have been enacted but no minor legislation has been enacted regarding professional journalist.

Almost all political parties have set up private institutions for broadcasting and theses institutions are staffed by people who have nothing to do with journalism.

Political parties use such individuals to their advantage and other legitimate and illegitimate means are used to cover their expenses.

In the current situation journalism is being used only for political parties and businessman and an educated professional journalist all the doors have been closed and even crisis of employment has been created.

Really professional journalist are not allowed to live long. Sometimes they fall victim to terrorist acts or sometimes they lose their lives accident.

In the regards, the international media is regularly researching these issues some research has been completed and published. In which the problems faced by journalist in many countries were highlighted.

According to the reporters with out borders the international organization of journalists.

Pakistan dropped 12 places to 157th position in the list of 180 countries in the world for the protection of journalists this year.

The serious situation of press freedom in Pakistan can be gauged from this report.

A few days ago, a digital security workshop for journalists held at FC college university Lahore highlighted in detail the dengers and challenges facing journalists on the digital front in modern times.

The workshop organized in co-operation with the Oslo metropolitan university of Norway, emphasized the need for effective security measures in view of the threats posed to journalist by terrorist.

Journalists are constantly fighting for the truth, but there is no denying that more effective modern and convert methods are now being used to influence journalists.

Leading to extraordinary courageous and skilled journalists. It is becoming increasing difficult for them to pay their deus.
